Starting May 4th, join us for the upcoming semester of our popular 13+ youth education program, The Works. In these sessions, we will study a specially designed curriculum on the biography of our Prophet ﷺ - Seerah for Teens. This course will inShaAllah develop and strengthen the connection of the students with the greatest man to ever walk the earth and learn amazing knowledge in a fun and interactive way. Course textbook and worksheets will be provided. Important Note: The dates of this program are as mentioned on the flyer. Please do not get confused if the dates in the Masjid App registration page/email appear different. Instructors Bio: Dr. Sonia Mohsin: With over 13 years of experience in education, Dr. Sonia Mohsin is a dedicated educator currently serving as a high school biology teacher. Dr. Mohsin's journey began in the field of dentistry, where she practiced for five years before following her true passion for teaching. She has held positions as a professor for Oral Biology & Anatomy at Dow University and as a middle school teacher at various Islamic schools in the GTA. She has a bachelors in Dental Surgery, a partial Masters in Oral Anatomy & Biology from Dow University, a certificate of Education from International Open University, Adult Teaching certification from Canadian College of Adult Education and has completed her Taleem ul Quran course from Al-ilm Institute. In addition to her teaching roles, Dr. Mohsin is deeply committed to community service and has volunteered with various Islamic organizations, including Youth Club in Karachi, Naseeha Mental Health, Dawanet, Alhuda and Muslim Neighbourhood Nexus, where she served as an event coordinator and public speaker. She has conducted workshops on topics such as mental health literacy, time management, resilience building, and parenting techniques. Dr. Mohsin's ultimate dream is to establish an Islamic school that prioritizes mental health and leadership development within the community. You can checkout her upcoming engagements and writings at www.soniamohsin.wordpress.com Hafiz Salman Yousuf: Salman Yousuf is a graduate of Islamic Studies from International Open University and holds various ijazaat and certificates in the memorization, recitation, and explanation of the Holy Quran and Hadith. He has a passion for teaching and is an experienced instructor in diverse subjects. He is a part-time imam and khateeb at various mosques in GTA and leads the youth education programs at MNN. He works full-time as the Head of Project Management for Canada at a large multinational food company and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. He also owns and runs a licensed immigration consulting practice. His ultimate dream is to establish a state-of-the-art Islamic school in Mississauga that fuses traditional and modern learning methods to provide a solid grounding to future Muslim professionals.
